Provides multiple product images displayed on the product page. These product page images can be used to display multiple large product images or as multiple thumbnail images. Clicking on the thumbnail images or a desired link opens a popup window for viewing a separate set of larger images with sequential navigation.

Full compatibility and integration with the SMT feature of Miva Merchant 5 for this module allows flexibility in the display format and layout of the thumbnails on the product page and full size images in the popup window. The available Items and Entities associated with this module can be referenced in the Items & Entities section below.

Click on the "EDIT HERE" image link to edit a screenshot. Click on the up/down arrows to sort the display order of the thumbnail/screenshot images.

    For example:
When the module is intially installed and activated, the SMT item to display the thumbnails under the product description by default is automatically created, assigned, and added to the product page template as indicated by a new template version labled "SCRNSHOTS: Add Thumbnails". If the thumbnails do not display in the product page you will need to manually review and execute the steps outlined below as needed in the "Pages" configuration for the "PROD: Product Display" page in your admin.
  • Create Item - Inside the "Items" interface, add a new item by clicking on the "Add Item" button. Enter "scrnshots" into the Code field and "SCRNSHOTS5" into the Module field when prompted and click the Update button.
  • Assign Item - Inside the "Items" interface, find the newly created item and assign it by checking the "assigned" box and click the Update button.
  • Add Item Reference to Page - Inside the "page" interface for the template field, you can add the item reference to display the thumbnails under the product description by following the steps outlined below. If you wish to place the thumbnails in a different location other than the default location of underneath the product description, such as below the product name, above the product description, etc. simply insert the thumbnails SMT item (as displayed in the revised snippet code) into the desired location in the "product display layout" template field.

Inside the "Template" field find a snippet of code that resembles the following.

Then replace it with the following code snippet:

When uninstalling the module, the process above should automatically be reversed, which removes the item reference from the Product Page template (as inidicated by a new template version labeled "SCRNSHOTS: Remove Thumbnails"), unassigns the item, and deletes the item. If this process didn't complete, you can manually reverse the steps displayed above via the steps outlined below.
  • Remove Item Reference to Page - Recall any previous version saved for this template or manually remove the item reference <mvt:item name="scrnshots" param="thumbnails" /> from inside the template field.
  • Unassign and Delete Item - Inside the "Items" interface, find the item associated with the module labeled "scrnshots" and uncheck the "assigned" box and click the Update button. Next, click the "edit" link associated with the item and then click the Delete button.
This feature is located in the "utilities > import data" left hand navigation area and allows you to quickly add/update screenshot data and images by importing a flat file. A sample import flat file (in tab delimited format) is included inside of the downloaded module file. Create a flat file or modify the included sample import flat with your choice of delimiter character (i.e. tab, comma, etc) that separates the data columns. Do not include a header row in the import flat file. Organize the data columns in the designated order according to the following table.

Column Field Description
1 Product Code (required) Product code associated with screenshot
2 Screenshot Code (required) Unique code associated with screenshot
3 Screenshot Name Name/title of screenshot
4 Thumbnail Image Thumbnail image of screenshot displayed in the product page
5 Screenshot Image Screenshot image displayed in the popup window
6 Screenshot Description Description of screenshot

  • Data File - Upload/enter flat file name for import.
  • Delimiter - Select "tab", or "other" as your desired delimiter character.
  • Existing Screenshots - Select the "Update" option to update/change the screenshots data/images that's only contained in the flat file. This option keeps your existing screenshots data intact except for the updated data contained in the flat file. Select the "Replace" option to replace/overwrite the screenshots data/images with all the fields (whether populated or blank) contained in the flat file.
This feature compliments the import feature by exporting the screenshot data to a flat file stored in the Miva Merchant export data directory, which provides a quick method of updating/adding screenshot data as necessary. The exported flat file format has the same format outlined above in the "Import Screenshots from a Flat File" section.
  • Data File - Enter flat file name for export.
  • Delimiter - Select "tab", or "other" as your desired delimiter character.
  • Sort Screenshots by - Select the "Screenshot Code" option to sort the exported data by screenshot code or select the "Display Order" option to sort the exported data by the display order of the screenshots for each product.
  • Header Row - Select this option to display a header row of the field/column names in the exported flat file.
